Kavirayani follows the curriculum prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi.

The school operates from Kindergarten through Class X. Class X students appear for the Secondary School Examination (SSE) conducted by CBSE at the end of the academic year.

Assessment & Evaluation

How student progress is measured.

The school follows the CBSE-prescribed assessment scheme, with continuous internal evaluation through the year and a final examination at the end of each academic session.

Classes I — V

Assessment at the primary stage is continuous — through projects, short tests, and term exams. Grades are reported at the end of each term, alongside qualitative remarks from the class teacher.

Classes VI — X

Internal assessment runs through the year — Periodic Tests, Multiple Assessment, Subject Enrichment, and Portfolio — combined with formal examinations. Classes VI to IX students appear for an Annual Examination at the end of the year; Class X candidates appear for the SSE conducted by CBSE as a Board examination.

Teaching staff hold the qualifications prescribed by CBSE — B.Ed. or D.Ed. across the board, with a number of subject teachers also holding postgraduate degrees (M.Sc. or M.A.) in their teaching area. The teacher-to-section ratio is maintained at 1.5:1. A Special Educator and a Counsellor / Wellness Teacher are part of the staff strength.
